Satyam Joshi (b.1976) is a brilliant, young and creative Interior Designer currently based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
For the last more than 10 years, Joshi has been designing interiors of small, medium and large projects. As a young interior designer, he had the fortune of working with nationally and inter-nationally deputed Architects and Designers, right from the beginning of his profession. Some of the leading architects with whom Joshi has associated himself in the past are:
Mr. Prakash Vani (Product Designer) and Mr. Hemant Baxi (Interior Designer), Directors of Inter Space Designs Pvt.Ltd. Ahmedabad. The main task assigned to Joshi as an Interior Designer was exhibition stalls and corporate office interiors. These Architects liked Joshi’s work so much that they gave him the complete responsibility to execute their own office.
It was while working with Mrs. Chirashree Thakar, Hyderabad a leading Architect in conceptual design work that Joshi came in contact with the creativity of Antonio Gaudi, the 19th Century Spanish Architect as Mrs. Thakar had high regards for Gaudi. As an Interior Designer, Joshi creatively contributed in perfecting the interiors of a 95 Lakh residential bungalow. Joshi’s ideas influenced by the gothic architecture of Gaudi got tremendous appreciation in this venture.
It was altogether a different experience for Joshi to work with T. Khareghat & Associates, Mumbai as Interior Designer. Shapoorji & Pallonji, Rahejas and Great Eastern Developers were the major Construction Companies with which he was interacting for buildings like Belvedor Court, Sterling Tower, Gold mart Jewelry showroom at pune.
In an effort to get into the core of interior designing, Joshi interacted with
Mr Manubhai Desai, Architect and Mr. Roopesh Modi, a painter & sculpturist who were fully involved in various aspects of designing like town planning, aesthetics and sculpture.
The vast and varied experience that Joshi could glean from his association with top-notch architects, product designers, renowned interior designers, painters, sculptors and other creative professionals belonging to diverse disciplines has enabled him to carve a niche for himself in the field of interior designing.
Naturally, Joshi was offered projects by small and big private clients in and around Ahmedabad, who had refined tastes and appreciation for creativity and freshness in interior design. Inspired by this overwhelming response from his clients, he set up his own office in 2002 and has been practicing interior designing and executing turnkey contracts ever since. His major corporate clients, at present, are:
- Flamingo Transworld Pvt.Ltd.
- Uniworld Education
- Plastic Products Engineering Co.
- Agrawal Infracon Pvt.Ltd.
- Utkarsh Exims Pvt.Ltd.
- GSPL Casting Industries

It was his interest in physics that attracted him towards interior designing. And Joshi believes that interior designing is all about material science and space management.
“Create an extra-ordinary space in this world leading to happiness for one and all.” That has been the dream of this upbeat interior designer.
